We have to eat to survive but when we are faced with fast food and other processed foods that are readily convenient, it makes it hard to eat healthy and keep the weight off. However, as soon as most people hear the word "diet" they immediately think that it will be hard to follow, they will always feel hungry, and that they'll give up after a week. Can you blame them? Essentially, you will eat meat, vegetables, fruits, and nuts. You will stay away from grains and other processed foods.

It is very low-carb which is what makes it almost effortless to lose weight. Foods such as bread, pasta, and baked goods convert into sugar in our bodies. Excess sugar turns into fat. The average person eats these types of carbs several times per week if not more. You can see why weight gain occurs so quickly. Not to mention the carb bloat, insulin spikes, and the sleepy feeling often felt after eating a large amount of carbs.

The paleo diet leaves you feeling satisfied because you are also consuming good fats that our bodies need. Your food also tastes good because you aren't eating tasteless healthy food. It is real food that hasn't been processed and full of ingredients you cannot pronounce. You also have a wide range of options in terms of what to eat. There is no longer a need to feel like you are starving on a diet again.
